Poetry & Love Letters

To my ex-lovers.

I remember the way you looked at me ... like no one else ever existed before me or will after.

You know what I remember?

The way your arms felt wrapped around me, holding me tight.

I remember laying my head on your chest and feeling protected.

I remember being so wrapped up in each other and the merging of our bodies and souls.

I remember how it felt to be one with you.

I remember being loved by you.

I remember the way you looked at me … like no one else ever existed before me or will after.

I remember our long talks into the night.

I remember laughing so hard, we couldn’t breathe and tears of extreme joy.

I remember you greeting me at the gate, at the airport because one more moment apart wasn’t acceptable to us.

I remember you taking me to the airport so I could go on the most important trip of my life.

I remember your beautiful poetry.

I remember how unique our connection was.

I remember being your muse.

I remember our adventures… getting out of your fancy car and feeling like a movie star.

I remember feeling whole with you.

I remember being curled up in your lap sitting by the creek at night in the crisp Sedona air.

I remember sitting side-by-side looking out into the ocean with our entire lives ahead of us.

I remember your grip on my neck, my life in your hands … and melting into that feeling.

I remember our passion and how it was unmatched.

I remember the things you said.

I remember loving you …

I will always love you.
